 For 50 years, Michel Rolland has been assisting winegrowers from the left and right banks of the Bordeaux region as well as supporting vineyards in Europe, the United States and the Southern Hemisphere. Working hand in hand with three oenologists who have become his partners, they continue to write the story of Laboratoire Rolland & Associés, together.

After the quite mild and humid beginning of the cultural year, summer was extremly hot and dry in 2020, giving to this vintage, ripe and well concentred merlots, harmoniously completed by the power and the balance of both cab sauvs and petit verdots. In the mouth the wine is supple and straightfoward, and the density is balanced by the elegance and the finesse. This bright wine should soon delight us !

Après un début d’année culturale doux et humide, l’été fut extrêmement chaud et sec en 2020, donnant à ce millésime des merlots mûrs et concentrés harmonieusement complétés par la puissance et l’équilibre des cabernets sauvignons et des petits verdots. En bouche, l’attaque est franche et souple, le vin est tout aussi dense que suave, racé et élégant. Ce vin lumineux plus que solaire ne tardera pas à nous régaler !

Description du millésime 2020 à Clos Fourtet :
Pour ce millésime 2020, notre cépage roi le Merlot a bénéficié, par sa précocité et celle du millésime, de conditions climatiques idéales. 
Après un hiver pluvieux, l’arrêt des précipitations et les superbes conditions chaudes estivales sur nos magnifiques sols calcaires favorisent la maturation et un parfait équilibre !
Les nuits fraiches de septembre développeront alors l’expression aromatique des raisins aboutissant à un millésime précis, droit, structuré, fidèle à son terroir.
Un vrai millésime Rive Droite !
DÉGUSTATION :
VISUEL Robe profonde grenat, s’irise de reflets violets.
OLFACTIF Nez intense de violette, mûres, avec de magnifiques touches florales.
GUSTATIF Attaque fraiche, pleine, élégante, construite sur des tanins crémeux qui
tapissent bien la bouche. Belle aromatique et très grande longueur.

Château Croix de Labrie is located in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru which inevitably think of Burgundy and its mosaic of plots and producers. Indeed, our vineyards cover around 10 acres in the heart of the appellation.

100% organic ann run in biodynamic, we pay particular attention to the vine in order to express the maximum of the terroir. The vineyard is handled by Axelle Courdurié, as a small diamond, from pruning to the harvest, the vinification and ageing. Very mindful of detail, accuracy Axelle brings her feminine sensitivity to all our wines from Croix de Labrie.There are treasures that are discovered only as confidential or almost. Jewels in their prestigious setting, the Saint-Emilion Château Croix de Labrie beverages are an exception, those who marvel the palate and let an indelible impression. Axelle & Pierre Courdurié, winemakers and owners, have the passion and talent of those who, with infinite accuracy, express their wines by the depth and richness of the soils.

Le Château Croix de Labrie est un domaine de 5,94 ha situé au cœur de l'AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, appellation qui fait immanquablement penser à la Bourgogne avec sa mosaïque de parcelles et de producteurs.

En agriculture biologique et biodynamie, le vignoble est travaillé par Axelle Courdurié de la taille à la vendange, puis à la vinification et à l'élevage afin d'exprimer le maximum du terroir. Axelle, très soucieuse du détail, apporte aux vins de Croix de Labrie sa sensibilité féminine.Il y a des trésors qui ne se découvrent que de manière confidentielle ou presque. Joyaux en leur écrin prestigieux,  Château Croix de Labrie fait partie des breuvages d'exception, de ceux qui émerveillent le palais et marquent les esprits.
